Components are critical, and one of them perhaps the single most important upgrade in the game: High-Rate Fire.

Summary

Most of the Components you obtain will be built, especially if you are a free-to-play or low spend player. Components are built in the Craft Center with gems and stones aquired from the Expeditions found in the Expedition Base, and are equipped in the Arsenal under the Component tab, with a grouping of 5 slots for components for each of the troop types: army, navy, and air force. Additionally, each section has a "Mastery" button in the bottom right. Components come in levels 1-10, with each step being taken by combining 3 of the previous step, and each step being equal in value to the step before it. A level 10 component would be made from 243 level 5 components or 59,049 level 1 components so collecting them in the correct order can gain advantage quickly. The most important components are High-Rate Fire and should be the main focus until level 10 has been achieved.

Gathering Materials

Go to the Expedition Base. There are two ways to get there: your To-do List (the bombs on the lower left), Scroll to Expedition Base and hit Go; or go straight to the Expedition Base building in your base, with the tap icon with the banner with crossed sabers on it. Collect and Rush as often as you can. The lower gem cost Rush helps to build Components faster, but you should only do this if it fits your play style and/or budget. You can also get a gem of any single color by utilizing the Request Help feature in your alliance. With a large and/or active alliance like the Savages of 3922 you can max out all 10 of the help requests quickly, every day. We recommend requesting the one you have the least of each time so you can build more Components.

Building Components

Go to the Craft Center. There are two ways to get there: go straight to the Craft Center building in your base, with the tap icon of the Gear; or tap on one of the gems in your inventory and hit the Use button at the bottom. The base material Ore Residue turns into lvl 1 Component chests which grant a random Component. For a lvl 3 of a specific component, you need one gem of each color and 500 gold. Select the type of Component and then hit Craft to build a single component, or Batch Craft to build as many as you can. A quick reminder to get a lvl 10 High-Rate Fire as quickly as possible.
